Happy New Year… Wait What?

It’s summer!! The time when you slow down your busy schedule and take some time to enjoy the beautiful weather, spend time with the kids, meet up with friends you were too busy to see during the busy winter work season, and check out all the fun and festivals that pop up.

Even *I* decided to take it a little slower this year, and if you know how my 3-steps-ahead brain works, you know that’s not something I normally do. I had my wonderful niece and nephew over this summer for 6 weeks to live and learn and grow. I’ve gotten the working in and out of the home, going to festivals, bingeing on Netflix, going to markets, playing games, and having a lot of laughs!

But now that summer is coming to an end, it’s time to get back to a regular schedule. And for many of us, after having a nice, long, well-deserved break, it’s going to feel like the start of a new year!

But wait! Hold on! Does thinking about all the things you need to do now make you sad? Stressed? Are you dreading the work you need to do and things you need to catch up on? 

Don’t!

Make it easy for yourself this new year! Here’s how you can do that:

Have some goals. Keep them simple and attainable and don’t go crazy with it. Start with two or three goals and make some more once you reach them. Your goals could be about your schedule, your business, your workout routine, your eating habits…

Work out for 30 minutes three times a week

Wake up as soon as the alarm goes off! 

Have 1 vegetarian meal a week 

Stick to a meal prep plan

Try something new every week (a food, a game, a tv show, a new park, restaurant, go for a drive to somewhere you’ve never been)

Spend 1 hour a week doing something as a family

Maybe toss in a big time goal like “Finish my book” or “Launch a new course”. Do you have any of these? Is there something you’ve been putting off? A gigantic goal you have … but you don’t even know where to start? Where just looking at the goal written down on paper gives you anxiety?

It’s time to stop putting it off. This mini new year is the time to crush your goals and start transforming your life. You can do it! And the best part? It’s not even going to be as hard as you think.
