What I Loved

This book was amazing. I laughed, I was engaged, I made plans with parts of it on how to use it in my daily life and when it was done? Was sad that I had a book challenge going and needed to move on. To be really honest? This book almost cancelled the Crazy Read challenge for me.

I have read A LOT of books this year (keep in mind I am reading even more personal than business!!!) and this one was one of a few in a row that made me want to just start the challenge again and just read these over and over!

So, what the heck is this book about? It is about “how to stop worrying about what you should do so you can finish what you need to do and start doing what you want to do.”

This is NOT a self help book at all. This is a basic guide to getting shit done. This book goes through everything from how to save and change your finances to how to deal with emails and basic life crap! One of my favorite parts is the “Get Your Shit Together” flowchart. Yes you read that right.

How brilliant is this! It is also a perfect representation of her writing style. READ THIS BOOK!!!!! The section titles alone will show you what this book digs into.

Section 1: What we talk about when we talk about getting your shit together

Section 2: Small Shit: Nailing down the day-to-day to build a better future

Section 3: Tough Shit: Getting older, getting ahead, getting healthy, and getting better at life in general

Section 4: Deep Shit: Mental health, existential crises, and making big life changes

There are not a ton of words for this book. It stole a place on my bookshelf. I am not sure why, but it is a new favorite.

What I didn’t love

Some people will find the language offensive but if you are good with that? You are just fine.  There was nothing about this book that I didn’t love.

Who I would recommend it to

People who are sick of vague self help books and just wanting to get more organized and to get their shit together.

Would I read it again

YES!
