One day I want to live in Santa Monica. Not because it’s beautiful and warm there, but because that’s where the Bulletproof restaurant is. 

Before I head too far into this topic, I want to make sure I’m not confusing anyone by using the word “diet.” For me, this is not a fad. This is how I eat 24/7, 365 days a year. Aside from some very minor cheats every once in a blue moon, this is how my husband and I eat on a regular basis. 

You’re going to be able to read a little bit more about what this lifestyle has done for me in my upcoming book (stay tuned for a September launch!) For now, I’ll just tell you this: after years and years of suffering from pain, nausea, and horrible symptoms, they’re almost all gone. Completely! It’s actually insane how much Bulletproof has done for me.

Feel Better

This relates to a lot of pain that I’ve suffered over the years. As it turns out, a lot of that pain was caused by sugar and wheat. In fact, sugar and wheat are my absolute enemy. Ask the friend I just went to New York with and she’ll tell you that one single bite of either is enough to turn me into an absolute wreck. 

It’s Delicious

Diet food. Ugh, right? 

Not on Bulletproof! This is one of the main reasons I’ve been able to make this a full lifestyle shift (almost 2 years and counting!) 

Not only do I get food that makes me feel better, I get to eat food I really enjoy. There’s a good variety, the coffee packs are to die for, and I always feel like I get to eat what I want to eat. 

Weight Loss

I’m not going to pretend Bulletproof instantly gave me a model’s body, but I will say that it’s helped my husband drop an incredible amount of weight and to maintain it with no issues! I have other odd health issues that are very tied to my weight loss.

Feel Fuller Longer

When you eat a massive bowl of pasta, it might feel good for about an hour, but then you’re right back with your face in the fridge, right? Carbs digest fast and their energy burn is short-lived. That’s science. Meanwhile, healthy fats are what keep you going all day long. The difference is almost unbelievable. Instead of eating 4-5 times a day, I can eat a couple solid meals and a snack and never feel that uncomfortable burn of hunger.  

More Energy

Not only can you eat less and feel full for longer, but you’re going to get so much more bang for your buck. This is like putting premium fuel in your car – but better! Anyone who knows me knows that my days are long and packed. The only reason I can push through them and actually get anything done is because I’m putting the right type of fuel in my body! 

It’s Delicious

Oh. Did I already mention this? Well, I meant it. Bulletproof is absolutely delicious. I never touch sugar, and somehow, I never feel like I’m denying myself. 

I think a lot of people are scared of letting go of sugar, but it’s just like any addiction we suffer from; once you’ve let it go, you won’t miss it. In fact, you’ll feel 100% better and you’ll realize (after the fact) what was causing so many issues in the first place.

Easy Meal Prep

I love cooking. Absolutely love it. But with my schedule lately, cooking is just not an option. I still want to eat healthy though, so I’ve started meal-prepping. On Sundays, I cook off a few kinds of meat (really good local meat without any preservatives!), chop up some veggies, whip up a batch of rice, and pack everything up individually into containers. Then, whenever I’m hungry, I head upstairs and make myself a custom rice bowl with everything I love loaded in! Honestly, it’s so easy and so good.
